The Internet site of Champdor is an ambitious thought process to promote the economic activities of the area. The idea started in fall 1996 and became official on the 25th of March 1997 with the "castle-project" presented to the district of Hauteville’s plateau. The necessary funds for the site’s construction were voted unanimously by the village board on the 26th of March 1997. The Welcome page was opened on the 1st of June and the site is available on the Web since the 10th of August 1997. The thought process is based on the conviction that the web is today a real factor of economical activity and employment, and will become even more in the future. Therefore, this site is addressed to everyone and especially to the young people.
